Transport to and from work is a daily struggle for many South Africans and as a result, many businesses provide transport for their employees. In recognition of this necessity, SARS has introduced Paragraph 10(2)(b) of the Seventh Schedule to the Income Tax Act to provide this service at “no value” for tax purposes.
